Job summary

AltaGas is seeking a Sustainability Intern for a four-month internship starting May 2027 in Calgary. You’ll support sustainability reporting, data collection, and projects that advance environmental and corporate responsibility goals.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year, with strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. You will collaborate with team members and gain hands-on experience across the Sustainability team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree program in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Interest in sustainability, ESG, environmental performance, and the energy industry.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly when working with data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Are you interested in sustainability, environmental performance, and how companies are working toward their ESG goals? AltaGas is looking for a Sustainability Intern to join our team for a four-month internship. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting sustainability reporting, data collection, and projects that contribute to AltaGas’ environmental and corporate responsibility initiatives.

What You’ll Do

As a Sustainability Intern, you will:

• Support sustainability reporting and data collection related to ESG goals and initiatives.
