Job summary

Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort in Banff, Alberta, seeks an Assistant Hotel Operations Manager to support the Hotel Operations Manager and oversee the Sunshine Mountain Lodge front desk, bell desk, maintenance and housekeeping. This visible leadership role requires hands-on supervision in a high-end alpine setting.

You will lead by example, ensure guest satisfaction, manage schedules, assist with training, and maintain high standards of cleanliness, ambiance and safety while coordinating

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a hotel leadership role (e.g. front desk supervisory experience or similar).
• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management preferred. A combination of similar credentials and experience will be considered.
• Strong computing (Microsoft) and PMS systems (Maestro preferred) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead front desk, bell desk, hotel maintenance and housekeeping in the Hotel Operations Manager’s absence.
• Ensure guest service delivery meets and exceeds guest expectations.
• Manage scheduling and labor costs; oversee night audit procedures when necessary.
• Coordinate with HR for hiring, reviews, and training; ensure compliance with policies.
