Job summary

PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) seeks a Surveyor to ensure spatial accuracy across the GTAA Accelerator Program within a high-security airport environment. You will establish control networks, perform field surveys, and prepare as-built documentation in collaboration with supervisors and subcontractors.

Role requires 5–10 years of field surveying experience on heavy civil projects, proficiency with Total Stations, GNSS, Leica Geo Office, Trimble Business Center, and CAD tools;

Qualifications

• : Education: Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying Engineering, or a related discipline.
• : Experience: 5-10 years of progressive field surveying in heavy civil infrastructure, transit, rail or large-scale projects; airport experience desirable.
• : Technical Equipment: Proficiency with Total Stations (Robotic), GNSS/GPS receivers, and digital levels.
• : Software Proficiency: Leica Geo Office, Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• : Competencies: Knowledge of coordinate systems, datums, projections, and 3D modeling for heavy civil and airfield grading.
• : Communication: Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with field ops, engineering, and client reps.
• : Project Delivery: Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and verify primary and secondary survey control networks across sub-programs (airfield civil/electrical and terminal infra).
• Perform topographical, volumetric, and as-built surveys using geomatics equipment to capture precise data.
• Review drawings to identify discrepancies prior to field layout operations.
• Prepare field notes, digital survey files, and as-built drawings for QA and handover.
• Audit layout work by subcontractors to ensure tolerances and design criteria.
• Support 3D machine control models on heavy civil equipment.
• Operate within safety policies and airport guidelines.
