Job summary

LAURIN in Ottawa seeks a Surveyor to support ICI projects with accurate field surveying and layout, collaborating with project teams to keep work on track from design through completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Surveying or related field with relevant construction surveying experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and shop drawings.
• Experience with digital construction tools and BIM workflows is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction layout, verification, and as-built surveys for ICI projects.
• Establish survey control points, benchmarks, elevations, and reference points.
• Review drawings and identify discrepancies to ensure accurate field layout.
• Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser levels to collect field data.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve drawing conflicts and site conditions.
• Maintain field notes and as-built records for Digital Construction team.
