Job summary

Unifi Aviation Canada, Inc is seeking a Duty Manager to ensure safe, efficient daily airport operations. You will supervise teams, coach staff and monitor staffing, scheduling, and financial performance at the assigned station.

We offer flight privileges after 30 days, earned-wage access, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, 2 weeks PTO plus holidays, RRSP with 3% match, a $300 HSA/PSA allowance, and performance bonuses. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain credentials as per local authorities.
• Supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates team activities related to the operation.
• Coaches, counsels and mentors employees, including disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists in recruiting, administrative tasks, payroll and scheduling.
• Monitors staffing, overtime, and performance of the station.
• Promotes team-building and motivates staff.
• Ensures safe working conditions per laws and Unifi policies.

Job Summary:

The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily airport operation runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manager . The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties:

• Supervises and coordinates team activities related to the operation.
• Coaches, counsels and mentors employees, including issuing disciplinary action as required .
• Assists in recruiting, administrative, payroll, employee scheduling, and general administrative duties.
• Monitors staffing and overtime use and operational and financial performance of the assigned station.
• Promotes team-building initiatives to develop and motivate team members.
• Monitors and enforces safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
• Promotes and adheres to policies, including but not limited to, Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per local authorities.
• Supervisory experience is required .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical requirements :

• Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, l ift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs ; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out . May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.

Working conditions:

• You will need to have flexibility in your schedule , including nights, weekends, and holidays . We operate 365 24/7 operations.
• Enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis (sun, rain, sleet or snow!) May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, jet and machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods.
• Must be willing and able to travel as operationally needed.
