Job summary

Unifi Aviation Canada, Inc. is seeking a Ramp Lead to head a ramp team, marshal aircraft, and manage baggage handling, de-icing, and cabin service duties. The role includes enforcing safety rules, shift scheduling, and ensuring policy adherence in a dynamic airport environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age, and valid credentials for restricted areas and driving. Applicants should be prepared for rotating shifts including nights and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain a fully cleared Restricted Area Identification Card.
  • Must be able to obtain a YYC D/A AVOP.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of agents in ramp service duties.
  • Marshal the aircraft on the ramp all arriving, departing and towed aircraft.
  • Perform wing walker duties to protect wings during pushback and de-ice aircraft as required.
  • Load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders or baggage carts.
  • Operate ramp equipment like bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
  • May be assigned cabin service duties like servicing the aircraft, cleaning lavatories and cabin, restocking supplies, and other items.
  • Monitor and enforce safe working habits in accordance with OHS/CATSA/Transport Canada regulations, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
  • Responsible for shift schedule to include workstation assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
  • Enforces Company policies and procedures, including disciplinary action, and promotes Unifi policies on Equal Employment Opportunity, Professional Conduct, and diversity initiatives and investigates and responds to employee relations issues in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

  • Must be able to frequently l ift , greater than 70lbs a nd constantly lift up to 70 lbs; Constantly p ush , p ull up to 70 lbs; and constantly w alk , s tand, r each a bove s houlder, c limb , c rawl, s toop, s quat, k neel, & b end.
Working conditions:
  • Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
  • Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements .
