Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Baker to prepare baked goods by following standard recipes, ensuring high quality and timely service for customers and staff. The role requires communicating with the manager on duty and servers, and maintaining food safety standards.

This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Store/General Manager depending on location, with duties including following recipes, planning production, and maintaining equipment and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Minimum 1 year of related cooking experience; high-volume or fast casual experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions and communicate with customers.
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a hot environment with sharp utensils and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and product directions for baked goods.
• Communicate ticket times and issues to the manager on duty.
• Provide high-quality service to customers and staff.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Operate kitchen equipment and manage food preparation and storage.
