Job summary

Wasaya Airways LP is seeking a Network OPS Coordinator to monitor daily and near-term operations from Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay bases. You will collaborate with all departments to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations for customers and the airline.

Responsibilities include planning and coordinating operations, forecasting day-of-flight, and proactive recovery planning. Experience in airline operations and aviation reservations systems is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary preferred.
• 3+ years of airline operations experience or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with Aviation Reservations Software Systems.
• Excellent computer skills; proficient with MS Office, internet and email.
• Ability to work in a team and also independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
• Knowledge of First Nations Organizations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate operations to minimize negative impact on customers.
• Ensure accurate flight forecasting for the day of flight.
• Monitor flight activity and resource availability for proactive recovery planning.
• Recommend cancellations, delays, aircraft swaps, or other decisions based on operational needs.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control on aircraft availability and with the crew scheduler on recovery options.
• Serve as primary contact during irregular operations.
• Promote a healthy, positive workplace climate and uphold customer care commitments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
