Your Opportunity

As an Electrical Engineer in Training, you will collaborate with clients and stakeholders to manage project deliverables, focusing on quality and teamwork. You will primarily work with our airports practice but also support sectors like transportation, buildings, industrial, pipelines, and water. Airport experience is essential; however, broad electrical design experience across sectors is advantageous.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform design tasks on airport projects, including calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports under supervision.
  • Interpret drawings, codes, and related materials.
  • Design, supervise construction, and commission airport electrical infrastructure such as field electrical centers, regulators, cabling, kiosks, transformers, and systems.
  • Design airfield installations including ground lighting, approach lighting, signage, guidance systems, and floodlighting.
  • Conduct fieldwork as directed by senior staff.
  • Gather data to support design decisions.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Basic knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD as drafting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate and think critically within a team.
  • Understanding of local and federal design guidelines.
  • Basic electrical engineering concepts and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret sketches and drawings.
  • Follow directions and accept feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD; experience with AGI 32, Visual Lighting Software, SKM, and Newforma is a plus.
  • Practical experience with SKM, AGI32, AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Registered EIT or eligible within 3 months.
  • 0-4 years of experience; internship preferred.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary civil and mechanical concepts is a plus.
