LeadingEdge HR Solutions has partnered with an Ontario-based aviation organization to hire an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer / Inspector for onsite work. The role covers maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure airworthiness and safety in accordance with Canadian regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a Transport Canada AME licence for the appropriate category and brings 2–5 years of hands-on experience, strong procedural knowledge, and solid teamwork and communication

Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada AME licence for the applicable aircraft category.
  • 2–5 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and manuals.
  • Ability to read aircraft drawings and manuals.
  • Detail-oriented with aviation safety focus.
  • Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Inspect aircraft structures, engines, systems, and components for defects or wear.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics-related issues.
  • Complete maintenance tasks in accordance with approved manuals, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Conduct functional checks and support aircraft testing following maintenance activities.
  • Identify and report defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations, company procedures, and HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to meet aircraft availability targets.
  • Support audits, quality inspections, and continuous safety improvement initiatives.
