Job summary

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Saskatoon, Canada. The role covers line and heavy maintenance during normal hours with rotational evening and weekend on-call duties. Registration is open and will end soon.

You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshoot and repair, document maintenance activities, and ensure ACA certification. You will also participate in ramp operations and keep the shop and tools in good condition.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and repair
  • Document maintenance activities, Safety Management System reports and related documentation
  • Identify hazards and safety concerns and report them
  • Participate in all-weather ramp activities including aircraft towing and ground runs
  • Maintain shop, tools and equipment needed for aircraft maintenance

  • Candidates working at this post are appointed to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and ACA certification of all maintenance activities of the company working at this post.
  • Applicants working at this post are appointed to perform timely and accurate completion of all required documentation of maintenance, Safety Management System reports and any other required.
  • Applicants are appointed for the documentation to identify possible hazards, operational and/or safety concerns or issues.
  • Candidates are also appointed for participating in all-weather ramp activities including, but not limited to, aircraft towing and ground runs.
  • They’re also appointed for this post to maintain the shop, tools and equipment necessary for aircraft maintenance.
Job requirement
  • Candidates must attain prior knowledge and understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants for this post must have recent experience in conducting scheduled inspections and diagnosing equipment and aircraft problems to be eligible for this post.
  • They’re also appointed to conduct necessary repairs and maintenance of aircraft and equipment to get preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must attain the ability to accurately apply standard safety precautions and practices according to established protocols, safety guidelines and existing legislation to be eligible for this post.
  • They must attain the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must attain the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights along with the ability to lift objects to 45kg.
Work setting
  • They must have prior knowledge of multi-engine turboprop pressurized aircraft including modern avionics and systems, environmental, structural inspection, and electrical systems to be preferred for this post.
