Job summary

WestJet is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Calgary, Alberta, to perform safe, daily maintenance and ensure fleet reliability. You will troubleshoot systems, follow policies, and work in a dynamic aviation environment.

Applicants should have an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License and 2+ years of experience or Boeing 737 endorsement, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Lifting up to 50 pounds and movement in tight spaces are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License and be eligible for US/EASA equivalent if applicable, as required by the role.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience or endorsement on Boeing 737 to be eligible.
  • Broad experience in electrical, navigation, and flight controls.

Responsibilities

  • Perform safe and efficient daily maintenance of the fleet.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft systems; follow documented policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills on shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to climb, kneel, and crawl in tight spaces.
