Job summary

Executrade – Your Recruitment Specialists is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in Moose Jaw, SK. You will inspect, repair, and test aircraft systems, remove LRUs, and work on components, both in shops and on the flight line.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of aircraft-related experience with at least 3 years in 1st/2nd line maintenance.
  • Transport Canada-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License: M2, or M1/M2 combined.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance (5+ years of residency).
  • Canadian work eligibility (citizen, permanent resident, or work permit).
  • Experience in life cycle support is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and test aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness.
  • Remove and replace line-replaceable units and components per manuals.
  • Interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical publications for maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct shop and flight line servicing, calibrations, and tool maintenance.
  • Debrief with leads and complete required documentation; ensure safety compliance.
  • Support operational coordination as needed and participate in improvements.

Job description

Type: In-Office | Full-Time | Moose Jaw, SK

We are seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers for one of our clients. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will inspect, maintain, repair, and test aircraft systems, including removing and replacing line replaceable units (LRUs) and components. You may perform specialty work in maintenance shops, conduct flight line servicing, maintain tools and equipment, order spare parts and materials, debrief the Team Lead as required, carry out workplace inspections and cleanups, and occasionally fill the position of Desk Controller.

Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and functional testing of aircraft systems.
  • Ensure compliance with airworthiness standards to maintain safe and reliable operations.
Component Servicing & Replacement
  • Remove and replace line-replaceable units and aircraft components.
  • Interpret technical publications, diagrams, and schematics to support precise execution.
Specialized Shop & Flight Line Operations
  • Conduct maintenance and servicing in specialized shops and on the flight line.
  • Perform calibrations, tool/equipment maintenance, and oversee spare part requisition.
Collaboration & Documentation
  • Debrief with Team Leads, provide technical feedback, and complete required documentation.
  • Carry out workplace inspections, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
Leadership & Support Duties
  • Serve as Desk Controller when assigned, supporting operational coordination.
  • Contribute to team performance, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of aircraft-related experience, including at least 3 years in 1st and 2nd line maintenance activities.
  • Transport Canada-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Diploma or equivalent (e.g., Canadian Forces Avionics Technician).
  • Possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License: M2, or M1/M2 combined.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance (minimum 5 years of residency in Canada).
  • Canadian work eligibility (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid Work Permit).
  • Experience in life cycle support activities is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace design, maintenance practices, and relevant tooling.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Proficient in diagnostics and troubleshooting of aircraft systems.
Key Competencies
  • Team-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Willingness to work shifts and travel as required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
