At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.

This is an empowered position within a customer-focused organization. Your commitment to developing long-term partnerships with both employees and customers is combined with the keen ability to listen, understand, and build solutions designed with the customer at top of mind. Your ability to lead a team of motivated and empowered individuals will help customers navigate market dynamics, promote business retention and growth, and contribute to the success of the Customer Care team. This role will work closely with the Area Air Logistics Manager to ensure the overall financial health, resource management, and positive experience for both employees and customers at the Toronto CCL.

How you create impact
  • Provide leadership to your CCL team to support the growth of the product and the people.
  • Manage all people-related matters with support from the Area Customer Care Manager and assist with branch activities to enhance employee and customer experience.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed about product and Business Unit initiatives that impact processes, people, and/or customers.
  • Ensure complete compliance with all QSHE and legal requirements to promote a healthy and safe work environment and uphold our brand image.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to support customer retention and growth.
  • Understand the Air Logistics Strategy, identify potential customers and markets, and develop products and services based on their needs.
  • Actively manage customer retention and growth, and encourage the CCR team to up-sell to customers.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to share information, gather feedback, promote engagement, and develop learning and development opportunities.
  • Address employee survey feedback and develop action plans to improve employee satisfaction within your CCL team.
  • Manage P&L for Toronto CCL and maximize regional profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Area Customer Care Manager to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
What we would like you to bring
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of 10+ direct reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interactions and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to analyze account performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts, project management, and knowledge of Dangerous Goods shipments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
