Job summary

KWE is currently hiring an Air Import Coordinator in Delta to deliver world class customer service. You will manage smooth transactions via KWE’s global network for a defined client base and support import/export operations across air, ocean, freight, and sales with accurate documentation.

Applicants should have formal training in a related field (CITT or CIFFA preferred) and 2–4 years of experience. A collaborative, dynamic team environment and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellence in customer service and be first contact for client inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Assist import/export operation (air, ocean, freight, and sales) and ensure accurate paperwork processing.
  • Complete accurate monthly reports as requested by management and customers.
  • Provide shipment information for import/export customers and support sales in negotiating rates and quotes.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and update shipment details in the system for billing accuracy.
  • Coordinate shipments and send pre-alert notices to customers and related departments.
  • Assist the department manager in maintaining ISO policies.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to terminal objectives.
  • Comply with safety policies, report unsafe activities, and follow guidance.
  • Provide backup support during busy periods and vacations.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve goals.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Formal Academic Training in related field (CITT or CIFFA preferred) and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
DETAILS OF THE JOB
  • Provide excellence in customer service and a first place of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Special attention to key assigned accounts.
  • Assist the import/export operation (air, ocean, freight, and sales), ensure accurate processing of paperwork to minimize errors.
  • Complete accurate monthly reports as requested by management and customers.
  • Provide shipment information for import/export customers and support the sales department in negotiating rates and quotes for services.
  • Maintain accurate filing system(s), update/input details of shipments in system and ensure accuracy for billing.
  • Coordinate shipments and send pre-alert notices to customers and related departments as required.
  • Assist the division/department manager in the effective maintenance of the companies ISO Policies.
  • Participate in meetings and overall objectives for the terminal.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Receive guidance with respect to general objectives in most tasks and projects assigned. Determined methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.
  • Provide back up support within department during busy periods, vacations, and unexpected employee absences.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills.
  • Perform all other job- related duties as required by management.
Salary starting from $47,000, based on experience.
