Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Supervisor - Operations in Montreal to oversee multiple warehouse services including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and light assembly. You will train and coach associates, manage performance, and ensure compliance with policies and safety rules.

You will focus on meeting customer needs, contribute to process improvements, and report to a Manager or Senior Manager of Operations. This role requires leadership in a fast-paced environment and hands-on supervision.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required.
  • Fork Lift Certification preferred.
  • 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience.
  • 1 year experience leading warehouse associates.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain certification.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
  • Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills; basic computer skills.

À titre de superviseur(e) des opérations, vous superviserez un ou plusieurs services au sein d’un entrepôt, notamment la réception, la préparation des commandes, l’emballage, l’expédition, la coupe de fils, l’assemblage léger ainsi que l’entretien général de l’entrepôt. Vous relèverez directement d’un gestionnaire ou d’un gestionnaire principal des opérations.

Vous serez responsable de former, d’encadrer et de conseiller les employés et pourrez superviser directement au moins deux personnes. Vous veillerez au respect des politiques opérationnelles, des exigences d’audit, des règles de santé et sécurité ainsi que de toutes les autres politiques de l’entreprise. Vous vous concentrerez sur la satisfaction des besoins des clients et contribuerez à l’élaboration des processus et des procédures.

As the Supervisor - Operations, you will supervise one or more departments within a warehouse operation including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as housekeeping of the warehouse. You will report directly to a Manager or Senior Manager Operations. You will train, coach and council associates, and can have at least 2 or more direct reports. You will comply with operational, audit, safety, and all other company policies. You will focus on meeting customer requirements. You will contribute to the development of processes and procedures.

Physical Expectations
  • Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.

  • Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.).
Compensation Details

Compensation Details: $61,632 - $80,121 Annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
