Job summary

FedEx Corporation in Richmond, BC seeks an interview-position candidate to coordinate aircraft loading/unloading activities and provide leadership to cargo handlers and operational staff. The role may include duties of courier, cargo handler, and dispatcher, serving as a mentor through best practices in communication and leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least 6 months of jet ground support experience, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months experience in jet aircraft ground support equipment/aircraft operations preferred.
• Proficiency in basic MS Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of FAMIS, COSMOS, FedEx intranet systems preferred.
• Ability to prepare Canadian customs paperwork.
• Must complete required basic training with recurrent certifications.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and handle packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must pass RCMP assessment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations related to aircraft loading/unloading.
• Lead cargo handlers and provide operational support.
• Mentor hourly staff and model best practices in communication and leadership.
• Perform duties of courier, cargo handler, and dispatcher as needed.
