Job summary

Lenovo is seeking an AI Application Engineer who bridges software engineering, pre-sales consulting, and product design to deploy Lenovo’s CSAS offerings. You will lead technical pre-sales discussions and develop AI proofs-of-concept, including RAG capabilities, and deliver core integrations for client environments.

The role is home-based in the United States with travel up to 25%; onsite work is available near Chicago or Raleigh. Lenovo provides equal opportunity and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years in software or solution engineering in customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, vector databases, and GenAI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization tools (Docker).

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales & POC: lead technical discovery and build AI proofs-of-concept for clients.
• Full-Stack deployment: write production-grade connectors and integrate with CRM/DB systems.
• On-Site Ingestion & Operations: deploy containerized AI solutions in client environments.
• Product in the field: translate requirements into structured designs and templates.
• R&D feedback: package client customizations for core roadmaps.
• Sales enablement: train teams to articulate AI offerings and value.
