Job summary

Systematix is seeking an AI Technical Lead for a public sector client on a 1-year contract, starting January 2027, in Ottawa. Active Government of Canada Reliability (Level I) clearance is required.

Lead AI adoption, design AI-enabled solutions with Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform, and guide the Scrum team. You will prototype AI technologies, explore AI agents and generative AI, and drive DevOps improvements with AI while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure secure,

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in computer science, software engineering, information technology or engineering.
• Professional training or certification in Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, AI, cloud architecture, or software development.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, solution architecture, or technical leadership.
• A minimum of 2 years designing or integrating AI capabilities into applications or processes.
• A minimum of 3 years with Microsoft cloud or related Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with REST APIs, SDKs, cloud services or other integration tech.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams and providing technical leadership and knowledge transfer.
• Experience applying automation/AI tools across the SDLC.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, reliability and maintainability considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support for AI adoption across the software lifecycle.
• Design and develop AI-enabled solutions with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure and API-based architectures.
• Prototype and evaluate emerging AI technologies for Scrum teams.
• Explore generative AI and AI agents within development workflows.
• Apply AI to testing, DevOps and deployment processes.
• Guide the team and transfer AI knowledge to developers, testers and architects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure AI solutions integrate with existing apps.
• Assess AI solutions for architectural, security, privacy and maintainability aspects.
