SSI (ShipConstructor & ShipbuildingPLM) in Victoria, BC, is seeking a permanent, full-time Product Developer (AI Focused) to join our Product Development team. This role offers in-office, hybrid or remote work depending on location.

You will work at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, building foundational systems and tooling to enable AI-driven capabilities across ship design and production software, collaborating with product teams and platform engineers.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Solid experience in software development with backend or systems focus.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, or C++.
• Experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems.
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or MLOps tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML).

Aufgaben

• Uphold SSI principles and provide excellent service to customers and internal teams.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software per SSI guidelines.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance, and security issues.
• Document technical decisions and continue improvement of development standards.
• Collaborate across product teams and architects to operationalize AI features.
