Job summary

Prevueaps seeks an Agronomy Summer Student to support our Ultimate Yield Agronomy Team in Swift Current. You’ll scout fields, collect tissue and soil samples, and assist with timely, accurate recommendations for growers. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, teamwork, and safety in a fast-paced season.

You’ll work with the agronomy team, deliver friendly client service, and gain practical experience in crop scouting and field operations while contributing to ongoing seasonal projects.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must live in or close to Swift Current, SK.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer management, ensuring growers receive accurate information and timely service.
• Scout fields to monitor crop development, pests, and disease, reporting findings to the agronomy team.
• Collect tissue and soil samples on schedule to support in-season and long-term agronomic recommendations.
• Follow safety protocols, read and complete work orders accurately, and document activities where required.
• Collaborate with the Business Agronomy Team and pitch in wherever needed during the season, including other duties as assigned.

The Agronomy Summer Student works alongside our Ultimate Yield Agronomy Team to support growers through the busiest part of the growing season. You'll spend much of your time in the field scouting crops and collecting samples, helping our agronomists deliver timely, accurate recommendations. WHAT YOU'LL OWN & IMPACT

Customer Support - Assist with customer management, making sure growers receive accurate information and timely, friendly service.

Crop Scouting - Scout fields to monitor crop development, pests, and disease, and report findings back to the agronomy team.

Tissue & Soil Sampling - Collect tissue and soil samples accurately and on schedule to support in-season and long‑term agronomic recommendations.

Safety & Work Orders - Follow all safety protocols, read and complete work orders accurately, and document activities where required.

Team Collaboration - Work closely with the Business Agronomy Team and pitch in wherever needed during the season, including other duties as assigned.
