Job summary

Fisa Rentals in Canada is seeking an Operations Summer Student to support busy season activities across our agronomy locations. You will assist with customer service in person and by phone, help manage yard and chemical shed operations, and support inventory control and safe product delivery.

Play a hands-on role with our team, gaining experience in agricultural retail operations, while developing practical skills in safety, teamwork, and problem-solving during peak season.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist growers in person, in the yard, and over the phone with accurate information and friendly service.
• Help maintain and operate the yard site and chemical shed, keeping product organized and facilities clean.
• Support inventory control by receiving, loading, and tracking product, and deliver products safely and on schedule.
• Follow safety protocols, read and complete work orders accurately, and document activities where required.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The Operations Summer Student plays a hands-on role in keeping our Business Agronomy Locations running smoothly through the busiest months of the growing season. Working alongside our operations and agronomy teams, you'll help get product to growers on time, keep our yard and chem shed safe and organized, and gain real-world experience across agricultural retail, from inventory and delivery to crop scouting in the field. It's a great opportunity for students who want practical experience and a closer look at a career in agriculture.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN & IMPACT

Customer Service & Support -Assist growers in person, in the yard, and over the phone, making sure they receive accurate information and timely, friendly service.

Yard & Chem Shed Operations -Help maintain and operate the yard site and chemical shed, keeping product organized, facilities clean, and equipment in good working order.

Inventory & Product Delivery -Support accurate inventory control by receiving, loading, and tracking product, and deliver product to customers safely and on schedule.

Safety & Work Orders -Follow all safety protocols, read and complete work orders accurately, and document activities where required to keep our team and customers safe.

Team Collaboration -Work closely with location team members and pitch in wherever needed during peak seasons, including other duties as assigned.

Technical & Industry Knowledge

• Willingness and ability to operate the equipment required to run and maintain the yard and chemical shed (will train)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Farming background and/or agricultural knowledge is considered an asset
• One or more years of study toward a diploma or bachelor's degree, preferably in agriculture, is considered an asset

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver's licence and a safe driving record
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
