Job summary

Sharpe Farm Supplies Ltd in Guelph, Ontario is seeking an Agronomist/Sales Representative who delivers tailored crop input solutions and shares expert agronomic knowledge with local producers.

You will work directly with farmers in the field, conduct crop assessments, build lasting relationships, and collaborate with the sales team to promote Sharpe's agronomic services and product lines for sustainable yields.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; willingness to travel for field assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide agronomic advice to customers regarding crop protection and management
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess crop conditions, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations
  • Identify grower needs and introduce Sharpe's products and services to new prospective clients
  • Develop tailored solutions to help farmers maximize yield and sustainability
  • Educate customers on proper product usage and application techniques
  • Assist with product ordering, inventory coordination, and field delivery logistics as required
  • Stay up to date on modern agricultural trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to promote agronomic services

As an Agronomist / Sales Representative, you play a vital role in delivering tailored crop input solutions, sharing expert agronomic knowledge, and driving long-term success for our producers.

Primary Duties

Work Location: In person



  • Provide agronomic advice to customers regarding crop protection and management

  • Conduct regular field visits to assess crop conditions, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations

  • Identify grower needs and introduce Sharpe's products and services to new prospective clients

  • Develop tailored solutions to help farmers maximize yield and sustainability

  • Stay up to date on modern agricultural trends, emerging technologies, and best practices

Schedule


  • Monday to Friday with evenings and weekends required during peak seasons

Skills & Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field

  • Proven track record of strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills
