Job summary

Sharpe Farm Supplies Ltd. in Guelph, Ontario is seeking an Equipment Operator to assist with field cropping, heavy machine operation, and equipment maintenance.

You will work outdoors, and the role involves operating heavy farm machinery, basic servicing, and troubleshooting to keep equipment in good working order; a safety-focused, hands-on position with a family-owned company. Mon-Fri, with extended hours during planting and harvest seasons.

Qualifications

• Previous cash crop farm experience required.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Sprayer Operator Licence is an asset.
• Proven experience safely operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining heavy farm machinery and equipment.
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual labour throughout the workday.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with solid problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Willingness to work long hours, including evenings and weekends during planting and harvest seasons.
