Job summary

Equipment Ontario Inc. is seeking a hands-on technician to maintain and repair farm machinery across a range of equipment, including tractors and harvesters. The role emphasizes practical problem-solving and the ability to work independently in a team-oriented shop in Alliston, Ontario.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining or repairing farm machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery such as tractors, tillage, planting, haying, harvesting and combining equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools, welding equipment, grinders and saws.
• Test and replace electrical components.
• Install, test and troubleshoot Precision Ag. electronics.
• Tune or overhaul diesel engines.
• Record details of repairs made and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.

What you will need:

• A working knowledge of farm or construction machinery
• A passion for solving technical problems
• Willingness to self-manage and make sound decisions
• The ability to climb ladders, kneel for long periods of time and lift over 50 lbs
