Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd is seeking a Territory Manager for our Ponoka Agriculture location. You will develop customer relationships, drive sales and rental revenue, and manage a defined area of responsibility with John Deere equipment offerings.

The role requires strong communication, travel as needed, and a proactive sales mindset. You will build a robust sales pipeline, promote equipment, and represent Brandt at industry events to grow market share.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience or knowledge of agriculture equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel; driver’s license and passport required.

  • New account creation and development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Achieve sales targets as set out by Brandt.
  • Develop a sales pipeline of opportunities.
  • Promote and sell New & Used Wholegoods.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Apply features, advantages and benefits to drive sales.
  • Prospecting and development of new accounts.
  • Maintain product knowledge and industry awareness.
  • Represent Brandt at industry events as required.
  • Maintain records of activities and quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports weekly to the manager.

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager for our Ponoka Agriculture location.
The Territory Manager - Agriculture role is vital to creating, fostering, and growing customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR), with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue for new and Used Wholegoods. A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used John Deere equipment within their designated AOR, stay aware of and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report activity/transaction details to the Company on a day-to-day basis.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation and development.
  • Build andmaintainstrong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New &UsedWholegoodsassigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and UsedWholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuousProspectingactivity and development ofnew accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Activelyparticipatein and promote Brandt during industry events asrequired.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports ona timelybasis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales andsubmittedon a weekly basis to the manager. These area mustto receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.
What We Look For
  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of agriculture equipment considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
