Job Title: Afternoon Shift Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Marks Supply, Kitchener
Hours: 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm EST

Our warehouse is the critical hub where all the magic happens, and we are looking for a proactive and dedicated Afternoon Shift Warehouse Supervisor to keep our operations running smoothly.
Job Summary: As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee the picking and receiving operations of our warehouse for the afternoon shift. You will ensure that same-day orders are picked with speed and precision and pick-up orders are given priority. You will participate in continuous improvement projects and actively contribute to them. You will work collaboratively with other shifts and departments to maintain a cohesive and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management: Oversee the picking and processing of same-day orders, next-day orders and branch-to-branch transfers to ensure they are completed quickly and effectively.
Pick-Up Prioritization: Working closely with the Pick-up Counter staff, ensure that pick-up orders are prioritized and handled efficiently to meet customer expectations.
Timely correction of errors: Mistakes happen, how you deal with them is difference between success and disappointment. Correctly fixing picking errors in a timely fashion is key to our success.
In-bound freight: Working with the receiving team-lead to ensure continuous flow of in-bound freight is organized, received and put-away correctly.
Out-bound freight: Ensuring transfers and customer orders are loaded correctly and on-time on a daily basis.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance warehouse operations.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other shifts and departments to ensure a seamless transition and maintain operational continuity.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse personnel, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging productivity. Daily communication to 3 direct reports, approximately 20 indirect through team meetings and written communications.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure the warehouse environment is secure for all employees.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on warehouse productivity, efficiency, and other key performance indicators to management.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Proficient in Eclipse and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
