Fabrication Supervisor - Shop Foreman - Afternoons - Custom Precision Fabrication (MUST have)

Location: Kitchener - Guelph – Milton, ON area

Shift: Afternoon (Monday - Friday)

Our client is a leading manufacturing company in the steel and fabrication industry and has a job open for a Fabrication Supervisor – Shop Foreman - Production Supervisor for the afternoon shift in their manufacturing plant. Experience supervising/managing CNC Lathe Machining, welding, and similar is a MUST have.

The Fabrication Supervisor – Shop Foreman - Production Supervisor – Afternoon Shift is fully responsible for providing leadership to the plant and shift operations, supervising processes in CNC, Lathe, Cutting, Bending, Welding, and similar. Responsibilities include labor scheduling, safety, performance management, coaching, and mentoring. You will oversee the shift budget, ensure production planning, material planning, production scheduling, and shipping/receiving. You will work alongside Plant Engineering for any Continuous Improvement lean initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) and a minimum of 5-6 years of leadership experience as a production supervisor within a CNC, welding environment. CNC experience is a MUST, along with hands-on welding experience (MIG, TIG) and leadership/management/team lead experience highly preferred.
