Job summary

Trevor Frances Recruitment is partnering with a leading Canadian manufacturer in the molded foam industry to recruit an Afternoon Shift Supervisor for the North York, Ontario site.

You will lead safety-first operations on the afternoon shift, coach operators and team leads, coordinate labor and materials, and drive Lean improvements while ensuring quality and on-time production to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Operations, or Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in supervisor/team lead roles.
• Experience in molded foam, plastics, composites, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Experience leading hourly production teams in unionized or non-union settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety across shifts with safety meetings and audits.
• Supervise daily production activities and coordinate labor, materials, and schedules.
• Monitor metrics and respond to operational challenges; support changeovers and start-ups.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure quality and on-time delivery.
