Job summary

Give & Go is seeking a Sanitation Technician for the afternoon shift (3-11 PM) to clean and sanitize bakery equipment, processing areas, and packaging lines. You will follow GMP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety policies, keeping records and inspecting for cleanliness.

The role involves working across multiple plant locations and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Qualified candidates typically have a high school diploma and 1-3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing experience an asset.
• Sanitation experience would be an asset.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; minor assembly/disassembly, machine setup and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently and contribute to team success.
• Good verbal communication and understanding of written materials (SOPs, training documents).
• Able to manage multiple tasks and coordinate work with team members.
• Demonstrates problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekend shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Clean bakery equipment, roof, fans, ceilings, walls and floors using specific procedures as directed.
• Follow GMP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning performed.
• Inspect areas requiring attention.
• Follow sanitation procedures during changeovers.
• Create a continuous improvement environment by improving products, service, and processes with the objective to reduce waste within the area while striving for efficiency and profitability.
• Perform duties assigned from the Master Cleaning Schedule. Inspect areas requiring attention.
• Job duties are varied and spread over a number of locations in the plant; special assignments may be created on a case-by-case basis.
• Perform daily and down day assignments as scheduled by supervision and assist/train other associates as required.
