Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a sanitation technician to follow SSOPs, perform cleaning of production equipment, and document sanitation activities to ensure safety and food hygiene. The role includes third-shift hours and potential weekend work, with supervision updates as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and some sanitation experience; English proficiency is required, with Spanish as a plus. multilevel, wet environments are commonplace.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; at least six months sanitation experience.
  • Supervisory skills are desired.
  • Microsoft Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow procedures in cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
  • Complete verification for cleans and programs (MSS, PEM, Non-PEM).
  • Advise supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Familiarity with testing chemical concentrations.
  • Familiarity with COP and CIP systems.
  • Aerial lift operation.

Job Summary
(Must have Industrial Food Sanitation Experience)
  • Follows procedures and SSOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
  • Completes activities and verification for cleans and programs including MSS, PEM, and Non-PEM.
  • Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations.
  • Familiarity with chemicals and their purpose and uses.
  • Familiarity with COP and CIP systems.
  • Aerial lift operation.
Qualifications

Language Skills
  • English Language Proficiency Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, document issues, and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Spanish is a plus.
Education And/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
  • Supervisory skills are desired.
  • Must have some Microsoft Office skills.
Work Environment
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
