Job summary

Dare Foods Limited is seeking a weekend sanitation professional for our baking facility. You will perform cleaning and sanitation tasks across the plant, following SSOPs and the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure product safety and quality.

Responsibilities include operating floor scrubbers, documenting tasks on MSS trackers, and supporting additional sanitation duties on shift. Lifting of 25–40 kg and exposure to cleaning chemicals are required.

• Assist in cleaning production lines within required timeframes.
• Handle chemicals (detergents, bleach, etc.).
• Move and dismantle equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Lockout-tag out knowledge.
• Support additional sanitation tasks on shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate food safety and quality concepts (e.g. cleaning and sanitation of equipment) in a baking facility
• Maintain a high level of sanitation in all areas of the facility
• Complete all daily sanitation tasks, as per the Sanitation Checklist
• Responsible for additional weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual tasks as laid out by the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
• Properly document completed tasks on POKA and MSS tracker
• Operate floor scrubber machines
• Ensure that all manufacturing equipment is cleaned, sanitized and handled according to company standards
• Assist in the cleaning of production lines and ensures that lines are properly cleaned within the acceptable time frame
• Exposure to/working with chemicals (detergents bleach, etc.)
• Experience with moving and dismantling equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation
• Lockout- tag out experience
• Support in any additional required sanitation tasks on shift

• 1-3 years relevant working experience in a food will be considered an asset
• Individual will need to be detail oriented which will ensure that the cleaning/sanitation functions are executed according to the SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
• Experience with moving and dismantling equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation
• Lockout- tag out knowledge

• Exposure to/working with chemicals (detergents bleach, etc.)
• Ability to lift 25 – 40 kg on a continuous manual basis
• Strong technical skills, and an analytical approach to problem-solving

Weekend shift – Friday (12 hrs) – Saturday ( 12 hrs) - Sunday (12 hrs) - total 36 hours

Rate: $26.40 per hour
