Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Mississauga facility is seeking a Rewind Operator to join the Bindery team. The role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and covers daily rewind operations, make-readies, safety compliant work, and orderly area maintenance.

This is an steady afternoon shift position with competitive compensation. You will work with production dockets, set up slitter, align cores, and prepare cartons and skid tags for orders.

Qualifications

• Experience as a rewind operator preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on concrete floor.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Good attendance is required.
• Willingness to work overtime during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
• Obtain production docket according to the production schedule.
• Place press roll onto unwind shaft and set up slitter per job.
• Align bare finish cores and assemble cartons/labels for orders.
• Pack finished rolls into cartons and place large rolls on finished skids.
• Adhere to SOPs and Quality Procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
