Job Overview

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy seeks a Traveling Field Service Technician to support wind power services worldwide. The role involves executing pre‑defined technical tasks and providing on‑site and remote maintenance for turbine equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre‑defined technical tasks such as basic commissioning, component integration, and basic engineering on turbine systems.
  • Support customers remotely and on‑site, delivering 2nd and 3rd level user support.
  • Coordinate defined service operations and resolve product issues for customer equipment.
  • Adhere to defined processes, applicable regulations, and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems independently and efficiently.
  • Participate in development of new field procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1–2 years of wind turbine experience.
  • Experience with major component exchange, turbine erection, or decommissioning.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 100 % of the time and residence within 50 miles of a major airport.
  • Ability to work suspended from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Clean driving record and successful pre‑hire drug screening.
Travel & Physical Requirements

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range: $56,000 – $80,000 CAD.
