Electrical Specialist – Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy

Join one of the world’s leading suppliers of wind power solutions as an OPS Electrical Specialist. This role focuses on troubleshooting, inspections, repairs and support across wind turbine components. Travel is required 95% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and report on troubleshooting tasks, turbine inspections, and component repairs.
  • Provide troubleshooting support on all turbine components.
  • Interface with clients and coordinate work with small crews.
  • Lead and manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Execute defined service operations, resolve product issues, and conduct engineering and maintenance jobs on site.
  • Adhere to defined processes, regulations, and safety guidelines, using PPE.
  • Complete additional duties as required to support site O&M and troubleshooting efforts.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of related work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance and electrical testing equipment for turbines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for inspection and repair reporting.
  • Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, diagnostic tools).
  • Ability to identify process improvements to increase productivity and safety.
  • Willingness to travel up to 95% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record, maintained throughout employment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Capability to work within safety guidelines using personal protection equipment.
