Job summary

A local learning center in Ontario is seeking a Part-time Intermediate / High School Teacher/Tutor to teach grades 8-12 in math and science. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, teaching experience, and strong proficiency in math. Responsibilities include managing up to three students, maintaining student records, and following the center's teaching methodologies. This role offers flexible teaching hours in the evening, with optional Saturday availability.

Qualifications

• Teaching/tutoring experience in math and science at grades 8-12.
• Strong knowledge of current Grades 8-12 math and science curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students at a time at varying levels.
• Complete post-lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Skills

Excellent English written and oral communication skills

Strong math proficiency

Ability to guide student understanding

Capability to manage up to three students simultaneously

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
