Job summary

YMCA of Greater Vancouver seeks a part-time staff member for inclusive before and after school programs for children ages 5–12. You will create a welcoming environment where every child can thrive and support their development through engaging activities.

The role includes active supervision, guiding children's interactions, and maintaining a safe space. Ideal candidates should have experience with children, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Experience working with children ages 5–12.
• Comfortable with day-to-day responsibilities.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of age-appropriate programs.
• Design and lead engaging indoor and outdoor activities.
• Provide direct supervision and mentorship to new staff.
• Create and sustain a safe, inclusive environment.
