Job summary

RTX is actively hiring a Machine Shop Lathe Technician at the Oakville, Ontario facility. The role focuses on machining aircraft parts to drawing specifications using CNC lathes on the weekday afternoon shift.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years lathe experience, blueprints reading skills, and the ability to work onsite in Canada. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with ITAR/CCGP eligibility required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3–5 years lathe machining experience.
• Experience using measuring equipment to meet quality requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Eligibility to work in Canada; ITAR/CCGP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up lathes and align tooling per setup instructions using G codes.
• Maintain tolerances and perform offsets, cutter changes, and self-inspection.
• Document actions in quality logs and create Product Defect Sheets as needed.
• Work from setup sheets, manufacturing sheets, and drawings.
• Support 5S, continuous improvement, and cell standard work.
• Operate other machines in the cell as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
