Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Oakville, Ontario is hiring a Machine Shop Technician – Grinder for the weekend night shift. You will perform ID/OD grinding on aircraft components and support lean initiatives while coordinating with the team on safety and process improvements.

The role requires 3–5 years in grinding/lathe/CNC machining, close-tolerance work, and the ability to train within 4–6 weeks. Onsite position with benefits and RTX corporate alignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of Grinding/ Lathe/ CNC Machining experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and using measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• ID and OD grinding of large chrome and HVOF plated aircraft components.
• Operate within safety policies and procedures; adhere to 5S and TPM.
• Coordinate priorities between operators and shifts; support continuous improvement.
