Job summary

AAA-Canada is seeking aeronautical structures assemblers for its Mirabel teams. You will install and assemble aircraft structures, read blueprints, and use jigs under customer and manufacturer guidelines. The role requires precise craftsmanship and strict adherence to manufacturing specs.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a structures assembler in the aeronautical sector.
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies in aeronautical structures assembly or equivalent.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • Dexterity and strong attention to detail.
  • French language proficiency; English an asset.

  • Assemble aeronautical structures, sub-assemblies, and components per drawings and data.
  • Use jigs and instructions provided by customer or manufacturer.
  • Read blueprints and manufacturing files; set up and operate tools as required.
  • Ensure assemblies comply with manufacturing files and quality standards.
  • Inspect installed units for performance and compliance with specs.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental standards; report anomalies.

Job description

We have several open positions for aeronautical structures assemblers to join our teams in Mirabel.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for structural installation, assembly, and sub-assemblies of aircraft systems, parts, and components within a project and/or assigned area.
  • Use technical data and instructions provided by the customer or aircraft manufacturer.
  • Use jigs and position components based on PVA, engineering department drawings, or any other material provided by the methods department.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or manufacturing files.
  • Adapt work to different types of assembly: large / small components.
  • Set up and operate manual or automated machines and tools according to the work to be performed.
  • Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to technical specifications provided by the customer:
  • Install necessary fasteners; drill holes; ensure correct products are used for assembly (bolts, hardened or mechanical rivets, screws or accessories to fix, support, or suspend components and sub-assemblies).
  • Ensure correct products are used for assembly (sealants, bonding, corrosion, paint).
  • Ensure compliance of assemblies with the manufacturing file.
  • Inspect and verify installed units, parts, and equipment to ensure their suitability, performance, and compliance with standards defined in technical documentation.
  • Comply with quality standards and production rates.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Report any anomaly or irregularity.
  • Any other related task.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Two years of experience as a structures assembler in the aeronautical sector.
  • You possess at least a Diploma of Vocational Studies in aeronautical structures assembly or equivalent.
  • You have excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • You demonstrate dexterity.
  • You have a quick mind and a developed attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the French language spoken and written, English is an asset.
