Job summary

Airbus Atlantique Canada Inc. in Mirabel, QC is seeking an experienced electrical assembler to perform harness and component installation in accordance with Airbus/Bombardier procedures. You will read plans, assemble on fixtures, and ensure high-quality sub-assemblies under strict production standards.

The role requires 3+ years in aircraft electrical assembly, knowledge of electrical schematics, and a strong adherence to safety and quality. In-person, 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

  • Hold a DEP in Cable and Circuit Assembly or a DEC/AEC in Avionics Technology, or a minimum of 5 years of experience as an aircraft electrical assembler.
  • 3 years of experience as an electrical assembler in the aeronautical field; system assembly experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical assembly and reading of technical drawings.
  • Familiar with FOD management and aeronautical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble harnesses and electrical components on various supports following technical documentation.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze electrical and mechanical plans and diagrams.
  • Ensure quality control of sub-assemblies and harnesses.
  • Contribute to First Article Inspection (FAI) with related departments.
  • Record measurements and report non-conformities per procedures.
  • Work according to health and safety rules.

Job Summary:

As an electrical assembler, you are responsible for carrying out assembly operations with the utmost rigor and quality according to the standards and procedures of Airbus Atlantique and the client Bombardier.

Your challenges:
  • Perform all operations in accordance with current health and safety rules;
  • Read, interpret, and analyze electrical and mechanical plans and diagrams from assembly manuals;
  • Execute the installation, assembly, and fixing of harnesses and electrical components on various supports (fixtures, structure, clamps, etc.) following technical documentation and mechanical drawings;
  • Ensure quality control of manufactured sub-assemblies and electrical harnesses;
  • Participate during First Article Inspection (FAI) in the analysis of the installation documentation to the aircraft with the Quality, Methods, and Production departments;
  • Ensure compliance with standards and production rates;
  • Verify the work compliance based on standard and specific procedures defined in the technical work documentation;
  • Record measurements and characteristics (trials, tests);
  • Report any non-compliance according to company standards and any modifications to be made to engineering drawings;
  • Know and apply the rules, procedures, and processes of your operations and know where to find them;
  • Perform all operations in accordance with current health and safety rules.
Your profile:
  • Hold a DEP in Cable and Circuit Assembly, a DEC or AEC in Avionics Technology, or possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an aircraft electrical assembler and pass an evaluation demonstrating basic technical skills;
  • 3 years of experience as an electrical assembler in the aeronautical field. System assembly experience is an asset;
  • Have good technical knowledge in electrical assembly;
  • Master aeronautical technical language and the reading of technical drawings;
  • Have relevant knowledge of FOD management;
  • Good manual skills and very good dexterity;
  • Good visual acuity;
  • Thoroughness and precision, good reflexes, ease of concentration, and attention to detail (assembly or manufacturing of high-precision components);
  • Analytical ability to quickly find a defect or any other problem;
  • Sense of responsibility (part compliance);
  • Ease of teamwork (multidisciplinary team: assembly-mechanics, aircraft mechanics, other technicians, engineers);
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.

  • Deferred remuneration: $1.55/hour worked, paid 2 times per year (July and December) after completing the 600 hours worked probationary period;
  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday (05:50 to 14:20). Possibility of being required to work on the evening shift (14:20 to 00:50); evening shift premium of $1.05 as long as you are assigned to the evening shift.
