YOUR ROLE

As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's key resource in developing and executing the store's Merchandising strategy. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team to become excellent merchants who consistently meet AEO brand Visual standards. Through your leadership, your team excels in floorset execution, merchandising, and marketing standards. You ensure the store remains guest-ready through effective replenishment. Most importantly, you embody our company values and bring your authentic self to work every day.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Driving sales: As a Leader on Duty (LOD), you maximize Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and foster guest loyalty by delivering exceptional guest experiences. You analyze reports and daily trends to inform strategic decisions and assist the Store Team Leader in developing business plans to meet KPIs.
2. Merchandising innovation: You coach your team to uphold AEO Brand Standards, manage day-to-day merchandising and replenishment, and identify opportunities for improvement with proactive plans.
3. People leadership: You motivate and inspire your team aligned with AEO's core values, serve as a role model, and ensure accountability to customer service standards, especially on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
4. Talent development: You prioritize recruiting and hiring strong talent, and invest in training and developing your team to deliver outstanding service.
5. Teamwork and engagement: You provide ongoing performance feedback through coaching, conduct team meetings, create development plans, and celebrate successes to boost engagement.
6. Operational excellence: You execute daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards across the store, and ensure the Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and aligned with Brand Standards.
7. Integrity and safety: You uphold store safety, Asset Protection, adhere to policies and procedures, and always do the right thing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A love for AE and Aerie products
• Previous retail management experience leading teams
• Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, prioritization, and time management skills
• Leadership and team development abilities, with understanding of employment law
• Business acumen
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop
