Sun Life in Orleans Ottawa is seeking a Life Insurance Account Representative to join the Desjardins Agent Team. The role focuses on value-based conversations, delivering remarkable customer experiences, and helping grow the business through sales of life, disability, and critical illness products, plus home and auto insurance.

The position requires LLQP and the ability to obtain Property & Casualty licensing.

Life Insurance Account Representative - Desjardins Agent Team Member

Type: Full Time (Starting Compensation Package of $45,000 to $50,000 Base Salary) Plus Commission & Bonus Package / MUST HAVE LLQP & BE ABLE TO GET OTL)

Responsibilities:

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services (Life, Disability, Critical Illness products along with Home & Auto Insurance)
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, etc
• Work with the agent to establish and meet performance goals & sales targets.

Requirements:

• Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, (Life sales experience) preferred
• Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
• Proactive in problem solving
• Dedicated to customer service
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to make presentations to potential customers
• Property & Casualty license (preferred/must be able to obtain)
