Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking an Advisor, Internal Communications in Montréal, Quebec, with a hybrid work setup (3 days in-office). You will craft and manage messages for frontline and corporate staff, collaborating with HR and leadership to align on priorities and change initiatives.

Ideal candidates are strong writers fluent in French and English, able to translate complex business information into clear communications, and adept at measuring impact across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally including experience in B2B environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Excellent business acumen with strong storytelling and summarization abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Viva Connections, and Viva Engage.
  • Experience with mass internal email communication tools.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of internal communication plans aligned with GardaWorld’s objectives and strategy.
  • Create and manage high-quality communications content, including leadership messages, updates, newsletters, and intranet content.
  • Advise operational and corporate leaders on messaging, employee engagement, and change communications.
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and Leadership teams to support initiatives and employee programs.
  • Support communication planning for organizational changes, major initiatives, and business updates.
  • Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and brand alignment across internal channels.
  • Develop materials for frontline and airport-based employees, including non-desk workers.
  • Measure effectiveness via feedback, engagement metrics, and analytics; propose improvements.
  • Support executive communications, including town halls and leadership presentations.
  • Foster employee engagement by highlighting culture, recognition, and safety.

GardaWorld is seeking a hands‑on Advisor, Internal Communications to support employee communications across our industry operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, this individual contributor will contribute to the development and execution of internal communication plans that engage frontline and corporate employees, strengthen organizational culture, support operational priorities, and enhance employee understanding of company goals and initiatives.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and storyteller who thrives in a fast‑paced operational environment and can translate complex business information into clear, compelling communications for diverse employee audiences across multiple locations and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and execution of internal communication plans aligned with GardaWorld’s businesses objectives and strategy.
  • Create and manage high-quality communications content, including leadership messages, operational updates, announcements, newsletters, and intranet content.
  • Serve as a communications advisor to operational and corporate leaders on messaging, employe Engagement, and change communications.
  • Partner closely with HR, Operations, and Leadership teams to support company initiatives and employee programs.
  • Support communication planning and execution for organizational changes, major initiatives, and business updates.
  • Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and brand alignment across all internal communications channels.
  • Develop communication materials that effectively reach frontline and airport-based employees, including non-desk workers.
  • Measure communication effectiveness through employee feedback, engagement metrics, and analytics, and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Support executive communications, including town halls, leadership presentations, internal talking. points, and executive messaging.
  • Foster employee engagement by highlighting company culture, employee recognition, safety.
Initiatives, and operational successes
  • Maintain strong awareness of operational priorities and emerging issues to proactively support communications needs.
  • Manage multiple communications projects and requests simultaneously, coordinating timelines, stakeholder input and approvals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally including experience in B2B environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Excellent business acumen. Proven storytelling and summarization skills, with the ability to quickly understand business and operational challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate persuasively and tactfully.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent prioritization and analytical abilities in fast-paced settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Viva Connections, and Viva Engage.
  • Experience with mass internal email communication tools.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a self-starter mindset to navigate organizational needs.
