What is the Opportunity?

Faster. Smarter. Safer. Aecon Utilities aims to be Canada’s #1 utility construction provider. We are looking for an EHS Advisor to promote a health, safety, and environmental culture across our projects.

What You'll Do Here
  • Promote an inclusive culture and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Conduct safety orientations and site-specific safety training.
  • Train employees in fall protection, confined space entry, traffic control, WHMIS, respiratory protection, emergency response, etc.
  • Coordinate safety training sessions.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and behavioral observations.
  • Develop safety plans such as emergency evacuations and fall protection.
  • Distribute safety materials and conduct safety presentations.
  • Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committees.
  • Analyze accident trends and inspect project facilities.
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims and develop return-to-work programs.
  • Investigate incidents and mediate safety issues.
  • Assist with external safety audits.
What You Bring To The Team
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction safety roles.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas projects is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Champion of inclusion and diversity.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Flexible schedule when needed.
  • Valid G driver’s license.
