Job summary

The University of St. Michael’s College, federated with the University of Toronto, seeks an Advancement Associate, Stewardship in Toronto to receive and process gifts, maintain donor records, and prepare tax receipts.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Development, you will assemble stewardship reports, support estate gifts, and coordinate communications that explain the impact of gifts, while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Minimum five years in gift administration or donor stewardship.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting abilities.
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills for donor communications.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with donor databases.

Responsibilities

• Process gifts and pledges and verify donor data before recording.
• Prepare gift acknowledgements and ensure tax receipts are timely.
• Maintain pledge schedules and follow up on payments.
• Create donor reports and reconcile ARBOR with Finance.
• Coordinate endowment reports and stewardship communications.
