Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Crew Planning, the Advanced Pilot Training Planner is responsible for all yearly, monthly, and daily training planning for all Pilots on the Dash 8 fleet. They will collaborate with Crew Planners and the Flight Operations department using the Navblue PBS system for pilot training bidding and the Navblue Ops & Crew (N-OC) system for plotting and tracking pilot training.
Responsibilities
- Plan and plot projected training for all Pilot Training.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors for pilot training planning 60-90 days in advance.
- Coordinate with the Manager, Pilot Training on training-related matters.
- Input seniority training bids via crew bidding software (Navblue PBS).
- Plot all Upgrade and Initial Line Indoctrination pilot training using crew management software (N-OC).
- Plan and plot all initial, upgrade, and recurrent Line Checks.
- Track training completion and coordinate remedial or additional training as needed.
- Monitor pilot currency, including 90-day recency, in line with regulations and internal policies.
- Input scheduling and pay changes in crew scheduling software.
- Plan and adjust schedules for Training Captains and Approved Check Pilots 60-90 days out.
- Occasionally work outside regular hours when necessary.
- Participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) by reporting hazards and incidents, and promoting safety policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Crew Planning.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Pilot Training Planner, Crew Scheduler/Planner, or related role.
- Knowledge of crew management and bidding software (preferred).
- Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations related to flight crew.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent decision-making and self-motivation.

- Positive, detail-oriented attitude.
- Strong technology background preferred.
