Job summary

ALTA Paramedic Health (APH) is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic to assess emergency scenes, administer advanced care, and lead ALS teams during transport. You will ensure readiness of ambulances and transport units per APH standards and travel to remote locations under challenging conditions.

The role requires ACP registration, BCLS CPR, and a Class 4 Alberta licence or eligibility. Candidates should expect a demanding but rewarding environment with opportunities for growth within APH.

Qualifications

• ACOP ACP registration required.
• Current BCLS CPR certification required.
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence or eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency scenes and patients and provide ALS patient care.
• Lead the ALS team during transport and on-scene care.
• Ensure ambulances and transport units are stocked, maintained, and equipped per APH standards.
• Travel to remote locations and work in varied weather conditions.
