Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Linden is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to assess emergency scenes and patients, transport between facilities, and lead the ALS team when needed. The role requires non-restricted ACP registration with ACOP, BCLS CPR certification, and a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator’s Licence with a clean driving abstract.

The F.A.R.E. test is required for applicants without a current EHS clinical position.

Qualifications

• Must have non-restricted ACP registration with ACOP in good standing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) CPR certification required.
• Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with a 5-year driving abstract, current within six months and with no more than six demerits.
• Proof of successful completion of the F.A.R.E. test within six months prior to the date of the job offer.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency scenes and patients and may transport ill or injured individuals between facilities.
• Lead the ALS team in providing clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes.
• Support readiness of vehicles by ensuring ambulances and NET vehicles are stocked, maintained, and equipped per established standards.
• Travel to remote locations and work in all weather conditions, including backcountry and exposure to hazardous scenes.
