Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in home, clinic or community settings.

In this role you will educate clients and families, provide counseling and consult with the care team, participate in meetings and support student clinicians. A CHCPBC registration and 2+ years' adult practice are required.

Qualifications

• Current full registration as a Speech Language Pathologist with CHCPBC.
• At least 2 years' recent practice with adults with acquired communication disorders and dysphagia.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in various settings.
• Complete client reports, educate clients and families, provide counseling and consultation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and stay engaged in professional development.
• Provide orientation and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology students and new staff.
